Consultant, Gentran Integration Suite (EDI)

We are constantly on the lookout for GIS consultants with the following skill sets.

• Strong experience in GENTRAN, EDI, EDIFACT, SAP IDOC, XML
• Past experience with Production support, Training
• Experience with Interface and IDOC extension development, partner profiles, and output determination
• Good knowledge and understanding of EDI communication protocols like VAN, FTP, SFTP, and AS2
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong analysis and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to thoroughly understand the business relating to assigned applications and interfaces
• Ability to learn and adapt new technologies

The consultant will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the client EDI environment in addition to development and implementation of new EDI transactions per business requirements. Will need to work closely with the business users to gather and define requirements, provide coordination between various IT departments for communications and internal application interfaces, maintain and update production documentation as necessary, and perform upgrades of the GENTRAN software to maintain current release status.
